BAG TO EARTH PAPER PURCHASING POLICY FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF COMPOSTABLE PAPER PRODUCTS

BAG TO EARTH is a user of kraft paper, paper board and wood fiber-based film for the manufacture and packaging of our products. It is the policy of the company, whenever the manufacturing and user application determines it, that the supply of recycled content be used. If the application determines that virgin paper materials are required, they are sourced from suppliers that have renewable and sustainable forest management programs and certifications.

Determining the use of recycled or virgin paper will be decided based on producing and supplying a product and packing that best ensures quality.

Preference, whenever possible, will be given to suppliers that have established sustainable and renewable forest management policies, which include COC (Chain of Custody Certification), FSC (Forest Stewardship Certification), SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) and PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).

It is our mission as an environmental packaging company to ensure that our policy of purchasing and use of paper assists and contributes to the long term goals of reducing and ending worldwide deforestation as well as the implementation and support of strong forest management practices.
